Nestled in the heart of Golaghat, Assam, there once stood a beloved local eatery from the 1990s, known for its simple ambiance and authentic snacks such as besan laddus, bhujia, khurma, and traditional chulhe-wali chai. This humble establishment offered a genuine taste of the region’s culinary heritage. My father used to take me there when I was five or six years old. I still remember watching him savoring hot sips of chai from a white cup paired with a saucer. I also thoroughly enjoyed the besan laddus—fond memories that remain vivid to this day.
