If you’re new here, Hi ! I’m Karishma Tanna building Urban Dancera Company.
Somewhere between rehearsals, weddings, flights and studio days…
this became something much bigger than I imagined.
We’ve spent years creating and choreographing Sangeet performances for people.
But somewhere along the way,
this stopped being just about choreography.
It became about people who walked into rehearsals saying,
‘we can’t dance’…
and then slowly started enjoying it.
It became about families showing up after long work days,
still choosing to learn, laugh, and do this together.
It became about those few minutes before the performance starts - when everyone’s nervous, excited, and a little emotional.
And then the music plays…
and everything just falls into place.
That’s the part people see.
What they don’t see is everything behind it -
the planning, the repetition, the chaos,
and a team holding it all together.
For us, it’s never just been about the stage.
It’s the rehearsals.
The in-between moments.
The effort people put in for someone they love.
That’s what Urban Dancera is built on.
Not just performances,
but the ability to take a moment that feels big - overwhelming mostly -
and turn it into something people actually enjoy, remember, and feel proud of.
And that’s something we take seriously. Every single time.
