For countless theatre practitioners across the world, Shri Ratan Thiyam was one such Guru. His silence spoke, his rehearsals transformed, and his presence inspired generations of artists to seek truth through theatre.
On the occasion of his First Death Anniversary, we come together—not to mourn a loss, but to celebrate a life that continues to live through every student, every performance, and every stage touched by his vision.
As a deeply personal offering,
Rashi Bunny presents “Phir Woh Ek Aag Jo Seene Se Lagayi Maine...”—An Audio Journey, reflecting on 25 years of learning, love, discipline and artistic companionship with her Guru. More than a performance, it is a conversation with memories... a tribute from a disciple to her teacher.
Jaipur shares a beautiful chapter in Ratan Sir’s journey. His last theatrical presentation in his own presence was witnessed here during the Rang Rajasthan Festival. He carried a special affection for this city, and many of us were fortunate to experience his warmth, generosity and artistic brilliance here. It feels only natural that we gather in Jaipur to remember him, together.
