Coco Mellors, what an incredible writer you are! I’m absolutely in love with both of these books. They’ve stayed with me since I finished reading them, and I didn’t want either to end.

Blue Sisters is raw and real, depicting sisterhood, grief, and trauma in such an authentic way. So many of the conversations and quotes have stayed with me and I’ll be revisiting them again and again.

This month, I finally broke through my reading block and ended up reading five books! Here’s a quick review of each:

☕️ Before the Coffee Gets Cold

This is the perfect read for anyone experiencing a reader’s block. It’s an easy read with stories that really help open up your imagination again.

☕️ Before the Coffee Gets Cold - Tales from the Cafe

Building on its predecessor, this one can also be read as a standalone book. The stories are sweet and heartwarming, with an ending that leaves you wanting more.

👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏼 Cleopatra and Frankenstein

This book was all over my Instagram, and for good reason—the cover is stunning! The book itself is equally good, featuring multiple characters with each chapter narrated by a different one. I enjoyed this style a lot, although the main plot gets a bit lost in the middle. Nevertheless, it’s a page-turner that I read in just two days. Highly recommend!

🏠 In the Dream House

This memoir retells the author’s toxic relationship in her 20s. The book is extremely well-written with a unique storytelling approach, making it stand out among other memoirs.

👫 Evenings and Weekends

I am only halfway through this book, but I’m absolutely obsessed with the cover and enjoying the story so far. I’ll provide a detailed review next time.
