Last evening, Avid Learning explored three vantage points of Mumbai’s cultural heritage that organise how the city moves, lives and trades: Chawls, Bazaars, and Lighthouses.

In this 8th ep of our Icons of Bombay series, Rupali Gupte, Mohan Khare, Pushkar Sohoni, along with moderator Benita Fernando shared fascinating insights on the energy of Mumbai’s markets, the social life of its chawls, and the quiet watch of its lighthouses.

Following two successful editions, Avid Learning continued its creative collaboration with the third Beyond Tomorrow Conference.

At Beyond Tomorrow 2026, the panel Creating with AI: Cinema and the Creative Industries brought together filmmakers, critics, AI innovators, and an IP lawyer to explore how technology is reshaping cinema and creative practice.

From AI-native filmmaking and virtual production to dubbing, authorship, copyright, and ownership, the conversation looked at both the possibilities and the questions emerging with this rapidly evolving technology.

A thought-provoking discussion on how India’s creative industries can embrace AI while keeping human imagination at the heart of storytelling.
