From navigating skies to navigating fluid forms, Artist Pooja Vijay’s journey into art has been deeply intuitive and self-evolved.

A former airline professional and a self-taught artist, she works with alcohol inks through a distinctive technique she has gradually developed as her own — allowing movement, unpredictability and instinct to guide the surface.

Flowing pigments collide, disperse and settle into layered formations that mirror the emotional rhythms of everyday life. Amid the turbulence, the work searches for moments of calm, balance and quiet grounding.

This year, the .ART domain registry celebrates its 10th anniversary with the launch of the .ART Award, a global art prize that puts the creative process at the center.
The award is open to artists worldwide, working in any medium or art form, from painting and sculpture to performance, installation, digital art, video, and NFT.
No restrictions on medium,
geography, or background.
No entry fees.
Unlike traditional art competitions, the .ART Award doesn’t use application forms.
Instead, artists submit a website on a .ART domain that documents their work, their identity, and the story behind their art. The website itself becomes the application.

Prizes, $50K+ total prize value
• Grand Prize: $15,000 cash
• Artist Residency Award (France): One month at Château du Fresne, near Paris
• Artist Residency Award (Spain): A residency at Anfitrion in Marbella
• Publication partner
• .ART Domain Award: Editorial coverage in Whitewall Magazine, the campaign’s media
Award: A $10,000 premium .ART domain name
• Additional prizes: To be announced

Not every artwork arrives easily.

Some works resist, shift direction, demand patience and ask the artist to begin again.

In this work, Artist Priti Desai’s journey became just as important as the final outcome. Through layers of experimentation, unexpected detours and moments of uncertainty, the work slowly revealed its own rhythm — teaching something new at every stage of the process.
