Jungle Mein Khulne Wali Khidki (Hindi Play) .Director :Jitendra GheteWriter :Jitendra BhatiaCast :Jitendra Ghete, Bharti Ghete, Pramesh Deshmukh, Rohit JagtapLength :1 hr 30 minsSynopsis:A Mumbai based business tycoon, Tej Bahadur Saxena with his wife Savitri drives to his Khandala bungalow for spending a long weekend during Holi but due to unanticipated storm and heavy rain they could only reach their holiday spot by midnight. As soon as they reach, a stranger, an 18 year old boy knocks at their door to seek refuge from the rainstorm. After verifying that the boy is not dangerous, Tej Bahadur Saxena permits him to spend a night in their bungalow. Tej Bahadur Saxena offers him Scotch whisky and later asks him to play cards. Meanwhile the boy starts getting attention from Savitri. And the game begins... The Title ``Jungle Mein Khulne Wali Khidki`` is used symbolically in the play and also plays a crucial part in the advancement of the story. Money is not everything, but it comes damn close. I am successful and want to be a winner at any cost.I don`t care if people call me greedy and selfish.Yes, I can buy love & happiness -- This is what Tej Bahadur Saxena thinks. What does the boy have to say about this? Does Savitri support her husband? The play exposes the hypocrisy and deception of the capitalist society. It is inspired from the Oscar nominated Polish Film, Knife in the Water.
Performed at NCPA And NGMA Auditorium.
