Shahr-e-Khayal by Nafees Ghazipuri is his last and final craft that was released in 2018. And It is with out a doubt, his most memorable work so far.
He was much admired for his depictions of the subtle yet beautiful elements of life and The struggle of men to live for those elements.
He was a dedicated reader, who had built vast reserves of philosophical experiences; and then putting them on paper was just innate.
Having spent so much time with so many eminent Urdu and Hindi poets, he was always motivated to write and share those precious pearls of rare Urdu Vocabulary, that is surely missing these days.
His absence has a left a void in our hearts that can't be filled but His legacy lives on through his work, and we are lucky to have known such a learned, charming and a chivalrous person who had always put the needs of others before his own.
And this page is dedicated to that life and that legacy and we celebrate it by not just reading his poems but also by knowing the Man behind the pen.
The book starts with a preface:
