"নৌকোডুবির শুটিং চলছে। রাশবিহারীর মোড়ের একটা বাড়িতে আমার সাম্প্রতিকতম ছবি নৌকোডুবির শুটিং চলছে। .সেদিন একটা ঝড়ের দৃশ্য তোলা হচ্ছে। প্রতিটি ফুলদানি স্কচ টেপ দিয়ে টেবিলে আটকানো যাতে প্রপেলার ঝড়ে পরে না যায়। প্রতিটি মূর্তির ওজন পরীক্ষা করে তবে রাখা হচ্ছে কোণের টেবিলে, যাতে আচমকা উড়ে আসা পর্দার ধাক্কায় কিছু চুরমার না হয়।
ঝড়ের দৃশ্য হয় গেল যথাযথ, একটা চিনে মাটির পেয়ালাও ভাঙল না। আঁচড় পড়ল না কোনও মার্বেল টেবিলের গায়ে। ফাটল ধরলো না একটিও আয়নায়।"

Rituparno recalled brewing up the storm in "Noukodubi" in a house in Rashbehari, Kolkata, in one of their "Robbar" column writings, now compiled in two volumes of "First Person." Thanks to the meticulous planning and calculations, the force of the made-up storm in that scene caused no damage to the objects used in the shoot—the flower vases, the bone china crockery, the marble tables or the mirrors.
In our Robibar-e Ritu event on Rituparno Ghosh's birthday, last 31st Aug (Sunday), we recreated that disastrous moment of the boat wreck in "Noukodubi" with the shock and thrill of a Jägerbombed coffee-aam (mango) brew. It was one of the high points of this evening of remembering Robi (Rabindranath Tagore) and Ritu (Rituparno Ghosh) in a truly multisensory style.
