There are moments in nature when everything seems to pause—the waves soften, the sky glows gently, and the coastline is wrapped in quiet light. This painting was inspired by one of those peaceful moments.
Using soft pastels, I wanted to capture the shimmering reflection on the sea, the misty horizon, and the vibrant crimson wildflowers that bring warmth and life to the coastal hillside. The contrast between the calm ocean and the colourful foreground creates a sense of balance, inviting the viewer to pause and simply breathe.
I hope this painting brings a little serenity and reminds you of the timeless beauty found where the land meets the sea.
