🌸⚔️ Mulan (1998)
The film follows Fa Mulan, a young woman in ancient China who struggles to fit the traditional expectations placed upon her. When the Hun army invades China and one man from every family is ordered to join the military, Mulan's elderly father is called to serve.
Fearing that her father will die in battle, Mulan secretly disguises herself as a man named "Ping" and takes his place in the army. With the help of the tiny dragon guardian Mushu, she trains as a soldier, earns the respect of her fellow warriors, and eventually helps stop the Hun leader Shan Yu from conquering China.
By the end of the film, Mulan saves the Emperor and all of China. She returns home not as the perfect daughter society expected, but as a hero who proved her courage, intelligence, and strength.
