Portraits aren't my genre at all. I have always been in love with painting abstract cityscapes, landscapes, florals etc. But had to give in to the request of a dear client friend who had lost his beloved pet and wanted me to paint a portrait for him.

Having a pet of my own I very well know how emotionally attached one gets to them. So tried my best to do justice to the photo of 'Popoye' (right side of the collage) given to me by his master.

Rest in peace Popoye!❤️

While I was painting this artwork, I thought to myself...life is like a journey on a train...with its stations, with changes of routes & with accidents. At birth we board the train and meet our parents and we believe they will always travel by our side. However, at some station our parents do step down from the train, leaving us behind in this journey alone. As time goes by, many other people board the train & become significant people in our lives...for example our siblings, friends, children etc
We do not know at which station & when we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way--love, forgive and offer the best of who we are! It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty, we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life without us.
I wish everyone a joyful journey in their respective trains of life. Give out lots of love & be happy!!!! More importantly be thankful for the journey!
Lastly thank you for showing patience & reading this post & for being one of the passengers on my train & a part of my journey!!
