A 25-year-old youth from Soraibil in Assam’s Kokrajhar, Lobo Narzary, has announced that he will contest the 2026 Assam Assembly election as an Independent candidate from No. 3 Kokrajhar Assembly constituency.
One of the youngest entrants in the upcoming poll season, Narzary said his decision to join electoral politics is driven by a vision to promote development, improve infrastructure, and generate employment opportunities for local youth.
He added that his campaign will focus on grassroots issues and expressed confidence in receiving public support for what he called “fresh leadership” in the constituency.
His entry is expected to add a new dynamic to the political contest in Kokrajhar as the election campaign gathers pace.
