Cookventure is the kitchen adventures of three flatmates- Zia, Sudheej, and Deepu. They are rare visitors to their kitchen and would do anything to make their lives (and cooking) easy. In this first episode, Deepu requests Sudheej to make biryani at home and offers his help. Sudheej ends up making THE "Ismail Mukku Biryani".

Recipe:
Ingredients
Rice - 600gm
Chicken - 1.5kg
Onions - 550g
Tomato - 250g
Whole garam masala - 50g
Ginger & garlic - 3 tbs
Green chilies - 4 nos
curry leaves & coriander leaves
curd - half cup
Lemon - 2nos
Orange: 1 no
Chilly powder
coriander powder
turmeric powder
garam masala powder
pepper powder
Method
Step 1: Marinate the chicken with some curd, turmeric, red chilly powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder, and lemon
Step 2: For Garnish
Add ghee to a pan
Fry some onions and keep aside
Step 3: Chicken
Add whole garam masala to the ghee
Add ginger-garlic paste
Once the raw flavor is gone add green chilies, curry leaves
Add the rest of the onions and saute them for some time
Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder & garam masala powder
Add sliced tomatoes
Add marinated chicken and keep it on a low flame closed for 15-20 mins
garnish with coriander leaves
Step 4: Rice
Add some ghee to a thick bottom vessel
Add rest of the whole garam masala
Add rice and keep it till the rice crackles
Add double the quantity of water and cook
Step 5: Layering & dum
Put a Tawa on the stove
Add some ghee to a pressure cooker and layer the chicken and rice
Garnish with fried onions and coriander leaves
Close the cooker and dum for 15 minutes.
