In early May, the global art world descended upon Venice for the 61st International Art Exhibition of . Curated by Koyo Kouoh, this year’s main exhibition, In Minor Keys, explored quieter gestures, intimate histories, and alternative ways of relating to the world.
It was an especially strong moment for South Asia, with artists featured across the official Biennale, the India Pavilion, and a number of significant off-site exhibitions and foundations across the city.
It was a rainy week, schedules were rigorous, but here are a few images we managed to take along the way.
