Different thinking, philosophy and approach make a really different story. A musician who played with Piano, Key Board and an established music director/arranger for years who had thousands of stage shows and dozens of music albums as his credential turned a established Santoor Player ….. He had music in his blood, being the son of a singer parents Shri Subhash Jagtap and Smt Shailja Jagtap and br
other Manishji and finally married to a established singer Smt. Shradhhaji. Mangeshji started music in the age of 16 years in 1996, as key board player than to pianist and music arranger. After years of his music journey he vanished from the scene and learned the most typical, unique and dropping out of sight music instrument santoor in the discipleship of Santoor Maestro Pt. SANTOOR- a rare Music Instrument. Santoor is presumably the music instrument of Lord Shiva, the itinerant musicians and gypsies carried this instrument in their wanderings across the continents of Asia and Europe which gave rise to variance instruments that are similar in nature. VERSATILITY
The music is an art of expressing emotional, devotional, and spiritual feelings. As an artist, Mangeshji makes no excuses for his versatility. He grew up listening and playing Music irrespective of instrument, whether it is harmonium, Key Board, Piano , Guitar or Santoor, and even whether it is classical/ Western/ or Light Filmy Music. Artistic perception,
Mangeshji being a musician who had many credential as music composer, key board and Piano Player, was uncomfortable with doing very routine work, the role of a routine mimic, imitating others in style, he always wanted to explore something unusual and untraditional. A deep rooted explorer in himself has helped him to give a dynamic approach to his playing, which certainly gives pleasure and satisfaction to the soul of player and listeners too. With his magical strokes over strings, He makes his unique melody speak in the language of common man for every age segment. In 2009, Mangeshji gave a break to his routine musical journey and started learning Santoor as a disciple of Pt. Ulahs Bapat Mumbai, a renowned santoorist. Here too he did not follow the traditional trend of using Santoor for classical Raags note setting, the unquenchable thirst for doing different and untraditional, and service to the spirit of music he practice and plays Santoor with authority without following the traditional manner in Note Settings and unusually he plays Santoor for Western and Light Filmy music apart from classical. Foreign Tour

Mangeshji has a band “The Band Arambh”, which is a blend of Tabla Shri Sachin Bhosle, percussionist Shri Indresh and Guitar Shri Anuj and with his wife as a singer, the group knows the moods and style of Mangeshji and other co-artists and synchronies the performances to the best of musical output.
