1. Make an "X"
Wrap yarn around two fingers.
Cross it over to form an "X".
2. Pull a Loop
Slide hook under top-left strand.
Grab top-right strand and pull it under.
Twist hook up to form a loop.
3. Lock it
Slide fingers out of the ring.
Yarn over and pull through the loop to chain 1.
4. Stitch & Tighten
Crochet stitches into the center ring.
Pull the short tail to close the hole.
