👉 What is NRC?
NRC (National Register of Citizens) is a process to identify legal Indian citizens.

🛠️ How NRC Works

✔️ Submit application & documents
✔️ Verification of identity & family records
✔️ Draft list published
✔️ Claims & objections allowed
✔️ Final list released

👤 Who is Eligible?

As per the Citizenship Act, 1955:

Must prove Indian citizenship

Show valid documents (birth, voter list, land, etc.)

Link with parents/ancestors

⚖️ Important Fact

🚫 NRC is NOT for any specific religion or community
✅ It applies equally to all (as per law)

📍 Where has NRC been done?

Only in Assam (2013–2019) under Supreme Court of India

❗ Reality Check
