Part 1
If I HAD WINGS
By Mohan. Lai Verma
(Voice 1)
If I had wings, to thee I swift would come,
And show the wounded place within my heart;
In thy dear memory I am undone,
And like a bird from thee I’d ne’er depart.
The air is sweet, yet thou art not in sight,
O my beloved, love hath left me sore;
I stretch my arms to reach thy vanished light,
And long to be thy rays for evermore.
To touch the clouds and taste the gentle breeze,
Yet what of vows that thou didst once impart?
My thirst for love no mortal song can ease,
Still bound I am within thy distant heart.
O come, and heal me with thy tender grace,
Let love break forth, no bounds can it erase.

Echoes of the Heart: Part 2
By Dr. Frieda Norma Dela Cruz (Voice 2)
I hear thy cry upon the passing wind,
And feel the sorrow of thy wounded breast;
No distance can the bonds of spirit bind,
In my remembrance, find thy quiet rest.
Look to the sky where golden banners gleam,
For love is never vanished from thy sight;
It lives forever in our sacred dream,
And guides thee safely through the deepest night.
So spread thy wings and let thy spirit soar,
Above the clouds where heavy shadows fall;
Our woven vows shall live for evermore,
A timeless melody that heals us all.
Behold the dawn, let all thy doubts depart,
For thou art treasured deep within my heart.
