Pre ordered immediately right after the announcement of the launch of tis book. Received on 29th Aug (Friday) and finished reading last weekend. And I must say that this is the best one for me out of his 3 books. 1) Homecoming and the other stories, 2) Cradling memories of our land and 3) The last free Naga. (All available in Amazon).
What's so amazing is... if you're are born in Manipur in late 70's or early 80's, you'll find a very deep personal connection with the character in stories. For me it was like rewinding my own pages in... The last free Naga, Good Samaritan on a rainy day, The river that bends time and What is heaven baking today. Jim's creativity to navigate even complex political issues weaved in a beautiful story is truly commendable. The best thing about his book is his expression of simple things and mundane life into a beautiful, memorable and connecting the readers in a very personal manner. I realised that I am the last free Naga.
