IGP Sarah Rizvi Honoured With J&K Police Medal for Meritorious Service

Srinagar, August 14: Senior J&K Police officer IGP Sarah Rizvi has been selected for the J&K Police Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day 2026.

Sarah Rizvi, a 2008-batch IPS officer, has served in several important assignments in Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat, including DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range and IGP Crime, J&K.

She has handled key responsibilities related to elections, intelligence, security and policing, including important assignments during the 2024 Lok Sabha and J&K Assembly elections.

The Meritorious Service Medal recognises her distinguished and sustained contribution to police service and public duty.

The honour marks a proud achievement for IGP Sarah Rizvi and the Jammu & Kashmir Police.
