Often asked by many
How do you manage a team with a variety of dancers and each of which are trained in several Indian classical and folk dance forms and some of who, are not even your own students yet they are always seen performing with you - this is my answer to all such queries
1. I’m blessed with the team that doesn’t question or rebuke my decisions - they simply give in to their talent and my decision bringing precision, finesse and grace to each choreography
2. Practice makes one perfect - these days all dancers specially freelancers refrain from long practices or number of days or hours for practice sessions - stating that the practice sessions are chargeable and they’ll give only limited time for the same, failing to realise that practice isn’t supposed to he for the team always - but individual practice and tenacity is as important as team efforts. Many at times, there have been some wonderfully trained artists working with absolute freshers, but everyone is giving equal importance and effort to the choreography or presentation. And the ones who believe, preach and learn the essence of hard-work through regular practice - are my favourite kind of artists - and I am blessed to have them in my team - who do not ask me questions like “when will practice get over?” Instead they ask me “didi ek aur din bula lo hume, aur acha ho jayega”
3. Senior artists and art practitioners support towards the junior artists also creates a sense of bonding and acts as blessing and motivation to keep doing this - my team has always been blessed by the best mentors like .dps, , and - their motivation and encouragement always brings good vibes and motivation to strive as better artists as well as human beings
