What an incredible day of learning and critical thinking! 🚀

UDAAN was honored to collaborate with Chaitanya – The Debating Society of Rajdhani College, DU to successfully host a powerful seminar-cum-workshop on "Reporting, Writing and Data Analysis of Internal Insurgency: Special Focus on Naxalism."

The focus on responsible reporting and data analysis for internal conflicts like Naxalism is more crucial than ever. We extend a massive thank you to our esteemed guest speakers, eminent journalists Mr. Aditya Kumar ji and Ms. Roja Yadav ji, for their deep insights. They particularly stressed the need for reporters to not be driven by vested narratives, guiding our students to aspire for a truly responsible journalism that prioritizes a nuanced understanding when covering sensitive issues.

Sincere gratitude to Principal sir, Prof. Darshan Pandey डॉ दर्शन पाण्डेय ji and the Rajdhani College faculty for their support.

We want to extend a sincere thanks to the bright, young, and talented students of Chaitanya Society and Rajdhani College! Your exceptional skills in managing the event ensured everything ran smoothly and the curious and probing questions you asked were exactly the questions we all must consider as responsible citizens in a democracy. It was truly inspiring to witness your passion!

A true highlight was hearing our Convenor, Dr. Shruti Mishra ji, who graciously addressed the young minds. She deeply connected with the audience by sharing her own firsthand experiences of ground reporting from Naxal-infested areas. She powerfully urged students to inculcate a responsible and nationalist thought in their approach to journalism and citizenship.

Our Language and Communication Vertical, led by Dr. Debosmita Paul ji, was thrilled to spearhead this initiative with fantastic contributions from Dr. Avani Bhatnagar, Ms. Anju, Dr. Sangeeta, Dr. Bindumati Bharti, Dr. Kalpana Verma, Dr. Anibha, Ms. Esh*ta Mishra and Dr. Sakshi.

It has been a truly profound and exhilarating experience for UDAAN to be a part of the momentous celebration yesterday at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. The atmosphere was charged with a century of dedication, as we gathered to mark the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)—a glorious journey of a hundred years dedicated to nation-building and selfless service.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who participated as the Chief Guest. His address was deeply inspiring, affirming that the RSS has been synonymous with patriotism, sacrifice, and discipline since its very inception. He beautifully articulated that the Sangh's core principle has always been 'Nation First' and its unwavering goal, 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, Great India).
A moment of immense national pride came when the Prime Minister released a special commemorative postal stamp and a ₹100 coin. The significance of this was overwhelming, as he noted that this coin is possibly the first time in independent India's history that an image of Bharat Mata has been featured on our currency, alongside the powerful RSS motto: “Rashtraya Swaha, Idam Rashtraya, Idam Na Mama.”
PM Modi also praised the RSS's commitment to social harmony, echoing the call for "One well, one temple, and one cremation ground"—a movement against untouchability that is reaching every village. The focus on the five pillars of change, the 'Panch Parivartan'—encompassing cultural self-knowledge, social cohesion, family awareness, citizen etiquette and environment—truly provided a roadmap for building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
Earlier, the address by RSS General Secretary Shri Dattatreya Hosabale ji set a humbling tone, as he reminded us of the spiritual and cultural significance of the occasion, marking Vijayadashami as the day the Sangh steps into its 101st year.

To witness this grand tribute to a century of unwavering rashtradharma (duty to the nation), forged in the fire of service and dedication, was an experience we'll cherish forever. It was a solemn vow to work with renewed energy and focus towards national duty.

A century-long legacy of grit, courage, and resolve.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is embarking on a new journey to shape the future of Bharat. At a recent three-day lecture series at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi, Honorable Sarsanghchalak ji emphasized the goal of reaching every corner of society, across all classes and levels. He highlighted the importance of connecting with and bringing together individuals who are dedicated to social good. The vision is for society to take on the work of character building and nation-building, just like the RSS.

Over the past 100 years, RSS swayamsevaks have dedicated their lives to fulfilling the resolve of 'vyakti nirman' and 'rashtra nirman' for the welfare of our 'matrubhoomi'.

It was an honor for the UDAAN team to meet and interact with distinguished guests in the sidelines of the three-day event. Here are a few glimpses.
