What can art really do? And what happens when you put a bunch of curious children, photographs, threads, scissors, and glue in the same room?

For our World Photography Day celebration, we hosted two workshops—Photo Collage and Photo Embroidery.

The children experimented without worrying too much about getting it “right” (which, perhaps, is the fun part), which is a lovely reminder of what happens when you give children the space to make, mess around, and follow their imagination.

So, when was the last time you put some time aside to pick up an old creative hobby just for the fun of it?

Tag us in your photography-inspired creations! We'd love to see it.

Art as a tool for learning!

This July, educators from across Kashmir spent two days with us exploring what it means to use art as a tool for learning in the classroom.

Our workshops are designed to place educators in a child’s shoes, allowing them to experience the arts curriculum as learners themselves. Through this approach, the session explores how art can go beyond an activity to become a teaching tool— one that helps children understand concepts, ask questions, express ideas, and engage with learning in meaningful ways.

And now, through these educators, a new journey begins in classrooms across Kashmir— one where art is not simply something students do, but a tool they can use to explore beyond what’s in their textbooks.

Get in touch with us if you would like to learn more about our programs and partnerships!

What happens when 40 educators are given two days, a room full of art materials, and permission to forget about perfection?

The CPB Prism team travelled to the hills of Reasi, Jammu, this July, where educators from across the region came together to learn, create, and reimagine what art education can look like.

The workshop was a space for unapologetic creativity— where mistakes were welcomed, perfection was left at the door, and the process mattered more than the outcome.

Through collaborative art activities, educators connected through conversation, laughter, experimentation, and shared moments of art-making.
Individual art-making offered a quieter experience: a chance to slow down, reflect, explore, and simply enjoy creating at their own pace.

The conversations that followed brought these experiences together. Educators reflected on what they had discovered, exchanged practical insights, and shared ideas for bringing creative learning into their classrooms. What began as a workshop grew into a community united by a shared commitment to their students.

And now, the creativity sparked in Reasi travels with every educator— into classrooms and communities across the Jammu Region.

When teachers experience the power of learning through art first-hand, they're better equipped to spark creativity, curiosity, and confidence in every child they teach!

This July, we conducted an art education workshop for 70+ educators from across Meghalaya—some returning from last year's program and many experiencing our arts-based curriculum for the very first time.

Over the course of the two-day workshop, participants expressed themselves through colours, patterns, and collaborative art-making. Surrounded by crayons, sketch pens, glue, chart paper, and other art materials, they experienced the joy of creating while discovering how simple, hands-on activities can transform the classroom experience.

By exploring the curriculum as learners themselves, they gained a deeper understanding of how these activities can foster creativity, confidence, and collaboration. This experience will shape the way they facilitate learning for their own students, making classrooms more creative, engaging, and joyful.

After all, when teachers are transformed, classrooms follow!

Creativity in the classroom begins with empowered educators. 🎨

Over 40 Resource Persons from across Rajasthan came together this July to reconnect with our art-based learning curriculum.

They played with colour, found joy in patterns, created with natural materials, got their hands dirty, and discovered the power of making art together. Through every activity, conversation, and moment of reflection, they immersed themselves in the very experiences they will soon facilitate for their students.

The result was a workshop filled with creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and joy— a glimpse into the vibrant classrooms they will build through the Roads to School, Art in Classrooms program.

We're excited to continue this journey with educators across Rajasthan as they bring art into over 130+ schools this academic year, inspiring creative, engaging, and joyful learning for thousands of students.
