Budheshwar Mahadev Mandir A Sacred Story of Lucknow 🔱
One of Lucknow’s revered Shiva temples, Budheshwar Mahadev Mandir is deeply connected with local religious traditions. According to legend, Lord Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana, worshipped Lord Shiva here during their exile.
The temple is especially unique for its Wednesday worship, rather than the usual Monday tradition. It is believed that this association with Wednesday gave the temple its name Budheshwar Mahadev.
Today, the temple continues to be an important spiritual landmark of Lucknow, drawing devotees especially during Sawan and Mahashivratri.
