Hazrat Makhdoom Shahbaz Muhammad jab Bhagalpur tashreef laaye, toh us saal wahan sakht qahet (drought) tha aur baarish nahi ho rahi thi.

Faqeer kehne laga: "Shahbaz Muhammad khud ko chhupate hain aur mujh gosha-nasheen (recluse) ko logon ke saamne zaahir karte hain. Allah unhein aashkaar kare (Allah unhein mashhoor kare)."

The heart is like a mirror - it doesn't shine on its own. It needs to be polished.

And polishing isn't gentle. It comes through ghisna - through pain, through patience, through moments that test your ego.

Every hardship, every insult, every discomfort... it's a rub against that mirror.

If you react to every ghisna, you stay dull. If you (endure) and reflect, you begin to shine.

So don't run from the friction. That's exactly what is making you clear.

Ikhlāq Hamīdah is a booklet written by Sayyidī Intekhab Alam 'Ata' Shahbazi, the 16th Sajjāda Nashīn of Khanqāh-e-Shahbāziyā. It is a beautiful and meaningful work that reflects how the Sufis place deep emphasis on ikhlās (sincerity), which is one of the most essential foundations of Islam. In this book, he offers gentle yet profound lessons on niyyah (intention), ikhlās, şadaqah, shukr (gratitude), sabr (patience), ridā (contentment), tawakkul (trust in Allah), taqwā, and many other qualities that help a believer draw closer to Allah . The writing is simple yet spiritually enriching, guiding the reader toward inner reform and nearness to the Divine. May Allah grant him lasting health, increased knowledge, and barakah in his efforts, and allow him to continue guiding hearts toward the straight path.

Some people spend their lives chasing the world- running after wealth, status, and recognition-yet they never feel truly satisfied, as if something is always missing. The more they pursue it, the more it slips away, leaving them restless and unsettled. But those who turn their hearts toward Allah and make Him their priority experience a different reality. They are not consumed by the need to chase everything, because their focus is higher and more meaningful. In that state, the world no longer controls them; instead, it falls into place as something secondary. True peace comes not from having more of the world, but from being anchored in something greater than it.

Sometimes the delay in our l isn't rejection-it's a sign of something more intimate. When a believer turns to Allah with sincerity, pouring their heart out again and again, that moment itself becomes beloved. The delay is not absence, it is attention. It is as if Allah loves to hear that voice, to see that reliance, to witness that al still choosing Him over everything else. So don't mistake silence for neglect. Stay in the conversation. Because the one who keeps calling upon Him is already being drawn closer, even before the answer arrives.
