Every Saturday evening you can share the experience of an art performance in an open, quaint courtyard against the backdrop of an antique building. Or enjoy Rasalok in aesthetically handmade small theatres with rammed earthen flooring on its surroundings- an earth sensitive art space in the making. Around the over a century year old building
We together celebrate every week since July 2008 masterly performances by skillful innovative practitioners who live unusual and meaningful life choices. Art forms that have no boundaries and are timeless and universal in content and appeal come alive for all ages and walks of life.
In our future Every Saturday art performances at 0630pm we will, among other in-depth art shows , open Rasalok compositions of yesteryears for live theatrical narrations. And hold shows based on advance public requests.

Rasalok (pronounced Rasaaloka) is a unique inherited artistic practice.

The genesis of this still theatre in miniature art form lies in Navarathri . Since 2003 Rasalok has become an annual open to the city offering with thrice through the day solo narrative performances of the still theatre in miniature art by two artists over the 10 days of Dussehra. This rare intimate classic theatre form becomes an intrinsic part of Every Saturday Art - a live masterly art form on offer -for the rest of the year

In this solo theatre form an artist performs live a well -honed and evolving inherited practice .Multiple classic art disciplines and their daily Abhyasa come handy in depicting an entire moment-in- time in a lifelike eyecatching manner . This rich spectacle in artistic proportions - miniature characters (with sculpted and painted expression and dynamic postures, as well as classic costuming) and their natural surroundings of flora, fauna, dwellings etc – is composed and handmade in intricate detail .

This still art comes alive through the “interaction” of these compositions on a miniature stage with the artist’s stylised live enactment-narration of the story and nuances of her composition.
