I am truly honoured and grateful to be appointed as the General Secretary of Alpine Hikers Group. Being a part of this amazing trekking family for the past two years has been a journey filled with learning, adventure, brotherhood, and unforgettable memories.

I would like to sincerely thank the entire Alpine Hikers Group, and especially Explore With Zubair, for showing trust and confidence in me by giving me this responsibility. Your support and belief mean a lot to me.

I assure you all that I will give my best to represent the group with dedication, honesty, and passion. Together, we will continue to grow stronger and take Alpine Hikers Group to the next level.

We appreciate the J&K Administration for conducting the “Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan” to spread awareness about the alarming impact of drugs, which are destroying our youth and society.

At the same time, we humbly request the J&K Administration to reopen trekking and hiking destinations across Jammu & Kashmir so that our youth can engage in healthy and positive activities. Trekking and hiking are not only adventurous outdoor activities but also among the best forms of physical and mental wellness that can guide young people towards a healthier lifestyle, discipline, and connection with nature.

We especially request the administration to reopen the famous Tosamaidan Tourist Destination, which has remained completely closed for a long time. Tosamaidan is not only a place of natural beauty but also an important trekking and tourism destination for adventure lovers, local guides, and nature enthusiasts. Reopening such destinations will help promote eco-tourism, employment opportunities, and positive engagement for the youth.

We sincerely appeal to the State Government to look into this matter and support outdoor sports and eco-tourism activities for the betterment of our youth and society.

One Wrong Step = Game Over 😨 | Dangerous Viji Top Ridge

VIJI TOP Summit | Dangerous Snow Ridge Trek 🏔️😱 | Team Alpine Hikers
Team Alpine Hikers successfully summited Viji Peak in deep snow on Sunday, 26 April, after an intense and thrilling adventure.
We started our journey from Haka Pathri, Pahlipora (Baramulla) with 31 passionate trekkers, all driven by excitement and the spirit of adventure. The trek began through a breathtaking meadow stretch of around 6 km, leading us to Upper Gabiwar at 11:00 AM.
After a short rest, we pushed towards the summit — the most challenging part of the trek. The final 5 km ascent with an elevation gain of 700+ meters tested our endurance, especially with the dangerous snow ridge and deep snow conditions.
At 2:35 PM, we proudly reached the snow-covered summit of Viji Top. The views from the top were absolutely mesmerizing — a reward worth every step.
This journey was not just about reaching the top, but about teamwork, determination, and pushing limits.
