We've been calling ourselves The Acoustic Project as we thought it had a nice ring to the name at that time and we did not want to be called the "A-Team" or the "B-Team" when we were in college. Eventually the whole name was condensed to just become T.A.P- Tap. TAPalong and be prepared to experience a magical feeling in your soul that prepares your mind to say "I just got TAPped"
Coming from one
of the best colleges in Bengaluru for Commerce, it was just by chance that some of our members started to study together in the same class. We just stood out as the guys who can sing without instruments. As time went by, we decided to incorporate the addition of an acoustic guitar, a piano and percussion instruments like the cajon, djembe and bongos. You can call us a mix of all things acoustic. Each one of us in the band have different influences and its because of that reason why we are so diverse with the way we perform our music. As a team our major influence was Pentatonix. We are richly influenced with a mix of choral, pop and commercial music that when we structure our songs, there is a blend that speaks to you like no other
