Two days. Countless memories. A weekend Bengaluru will not forget.

Thaala Utsav 2026 opened on the morning of July 11 with
Siddhartha Belmannu and his ensemble, a meditative,
soul-stirring journey through Hindustani classical ragas,
Thumri and Bhajan that set the tone for everything that
followed. By evening, Charulatha Mani took the stage and
did what she does best, bridged the worlds of Carnatic
classicism and beloved film melodies, moving seamlessly
across languages, genres and emotions.

July 12 began with the thunderous energy of Laya Lavanya,
12 percussionists led by Vidwan Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma,
delivering a masterclass in rhythm that left the auditorium
breathless. And as the sun set on Bengaluru's cultural
weekend, Thaikkudam Bridge closed the festival the only way
they know how, with 13 years of music, 1000+ shows worth
of energy, and a crowd that never wanted it to end.

But Thaala Utsav was never just about the concerts.

Across Laya, Nada, Bhaava, Swara, Dhwani and Rang Manch,
seven spaces came alive with Yakshagana workshops, Odissi
demonstrations, Gond art, pottery, sound healing, puppet
theatre, folk performances, tribal music, dance, art stalls
and food. Every corner held something worth discovering.

100+ artists. Two days. Thousands of rasikas.
This was Bengaluru's cultural weekend.

Thank you to every artist, every volunteer, every rasika
who made this possible. See you at the third edition. 🙏

Day 2 was a fitting finale to an unforgettable celebration. ✨

From the powerful rhythms of Laya Lavanya – Percussion Ensemble and immersive workshops to vibrant folk traditions, artisan markets, and an electrifying grand finale by Thaikkudam Bridge, every moment reflected the richness and diversity of India's cultural heritage.

Over two incredible days, Sangamam Thaala Utsav 2026 brought together artists, artisans, and audiences in a shared celebration of music, dance, craft, and community.

Thank you to every artist, volunteer, partner, and visitor who made this festival truly special.
