Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha Visits Late Anjel Chakma’s Family, Assures Support and Swift Probe

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday visited the residence of late Anjel Chakma at Nandannagar, Agartala, where he met the bereaved parents and family members of the deceased.

During the visit, the Chief Minister expressed his deepest condolences to the grieving family and conveyed his solidarity in this time of immense loss. He assured them that the Tripura State Government will extend all possible support to the family.

Dr. Saha further stated that he would take up the matter with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, to ensure that the ongoing investigation related to Anjel Chakma’s case is expedited and conducted thoroughly.

The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to justice and assured the family that all necessary steps would be taken to bring clarity and accountability in the case.

Dangubi Mina Chakma, daughter of Late Dilip Kumar Chakma and an employee under CADC, has made the district proud by winning three gold medals in powerlifting at state and district levels since 2023.

Her victories include golds on Mar 16, 2024, May 31, 2025, and Oct 11, 2025, across different weight categories. Her success stands as an inspiration for young Chakma women and a moment of pride for the district.
