About - Amdur Fine Gallery:
The Amdur Fine Gallery of Contemporary Art attributes its name to two families that have pioneered the State of Israel. In this same pioneer spirit the owner and director of the Gallery, Talya Polinger, has founded the first contemporary art gallery in the heart of the Galilean city of Tiberias - on the picturesque cobblestone street of H'Kison between H'banam and H'Ga
lil Streets. The vision for the gallery is to provide a beautiful and dynamic venue for established and emerging Israeli contemporary artists, which will enrich and intrigue the community of Tiberias, the surrounding settlements, and those visiting the city from within Israel and internationally. In this first Exhibition of the Gallery the signature works of each House Artist are presented. Each piece selected is meant to introduce the unique and individual approach, tone and texture of each artist to the Gallery and to initiate a "dialogue" between the artists and the community. About the Owner & Director, Talya Polinger
Talya Polinger was born in 1957 in Philadelphia. She first came to Israel in 1973 and in 1994 immigrated to Israel to raise her children and to pursue her career in art. She and her life-partner, the architect Bram Fine, live in the North of Israel in the mountain-top village of Har Halutz where they have raised their children. Talya has exhibited her work throughout Israel in solo exhibitions, and has participated in group shows in Paris and Philadelphia. Her works hang in private collections in Israel, Europe and the United States and is currently exhibiting in the Amdur Fine Gallery where she serves as the owner and director.
