At one point in the play my character says, "There has never been a time in the world when art is worth less than it is now." Are we living in times like this? Does art make a difference? or does it simply make life bearable (which sometimes can seem like enough.
During rehearsals, director Bryan Barak Bard, Howard Metz Gillian Kay have explored these issues and we hope the play will inspire and encourage thought and discussion (and there are some clever lines as well). Check out Judah S. Harris's act tonight at Carousel Open Stage.
Judah S. Harris began performing stand-up at open mic nights during his college years. A photographer, filmmaker, speaker and writer, Judah uses humor extensively in his daily interactions with people, when teaching (photography and filmmaking), and in some of his published articles and essays. He appeared at last June's Carousel Open Stage Event, hosted an evening of stand-up in April at the Khan Theater with nine comedians, and will very soon debut a one-man show, on stage in Jerusalem. What to expect: dry humor, overall, and Judah's ability to play with the language (and his comedic timing).

Carousel Open Stage is pleased to welcome Roy who, along with Maurane Leost is performing a scene from Moliere's "The Misanthrope." Pascal Roy is a veteran of the Jerusalem community theater and has performed in "Oliver" "The Little Mermaid" "Candlesticks," has participated in workshops in Cannes, France, and has performed clowning in Madrid.
