Give a BIG welcome to my newest collection, French Coast to Countryside!

Featuring 39 paintings inspired by the landscape and shoreline of Northern France, this series is chock full of florals, countryside scenes and seascapes inspired by a trip I took to the area last spring. The color palette came too me right away and I have to say... I’m kind of obsessed with it’s deep wine tones, warm neutrals, ochre and muted pinks. They just melt together perfectly!

A little behind the scenes…

I start every series with a simple color palette. Usually, I have a moderate idea of what colors I want to use, but it’s always a bit of an experiment. Once I’m happy with the palette, I get all the colors onto a single paper and write down the recipes so I don’t forget how to create everything. I call this my “recipe card” for each series.

This one, from “The Refuge,” is earthy with plenty of greens and soft hues. If you can’t tell, I’m kind of obsessed with color palettes 😍 🎨
