Thank you to everyone who came to the Wexford Japanese Film Festival this year. We shared three beautiful films, nice treats and stories about culture and travel.
We even had a lovely couple travelling all the way from Arklow.

This year again we have teamed up with Nori Restaurant in Wexford town. If you have a ticket for either of the films, you can get a 6piece shredded crab roll with every table booking on the following days next week: Tuesday 28.4., Wednesday 29.4. AND Thursday 30.4. The first offering in this year's Japanese Film Festival Ireland in the Wexford Arts Centre is Yasujiro Ozu's 1962 classic, 'An Autumn Afternoon,' next Tuesday, April 28 @ 8pm.
In the wake of his wife's death, aging Shuhei Hirayama (Chishu Ryu) struggles to maintain balanced relationships with his three children. He tends to spoil his eldest, the happily married Kazuo (Shinichiro Mikami), who spends more of his father's money than his own. The middle child, 24-year-old Michiko (Shima Iwash*ta), is looking for love herself, but feels obligated to run Shuhei's household and care for his youngest child, teenaged Koichi (Keiji Sada), who can't connect with his father.
