Cherry blossom is one of my favourite trees, it’s not only beautiful; it’s fleeting as its flowers only last a short while. In April and May here in Ireland and sometimes even in March if temperatures are mild, you’ll find them in blossom. I’m always on the lookout before the leaves fall; you can get the most amazing photos!
Lovely to see my painting of ‘Feels Like Home’ looking so festive on the wall of in Gorey. Just had a much needed cappuccino and croissant which was delicious! 😋 after another early morning start here at Gorey’s Market House 🙂
Is this finished?! I’m not sure yet I do know I’m calling it…”For Heavens Sake” I’ve been working on this piece on and off since the start of the invasion on Ukraine 🇺🇦 it’s 100cmx80cm. I think I’ll sit with it a while longer, perhaps it needs more!

Hi everyone, I'm delighted to announce that I'll be showing my artwork in the heart of the wonderful and bustling town of Gorey this Christmas🎄✨ I had the opportunity for a few days during the summer and had a very pleasant experience meeting so many lovely people so I'm thrilled to be back in for Christmas! As much as I love painting, I'm also passionate about hiking and photography.
On a fine day in late August of this year, I took this photograph at one of Ireland's most popular tourist attractions, Upper Lake, Glendalough in Co Wicklow. I thought I'd share it with you as its one of my favourite places to go walking :-)

My first ‘almost finished’ abstract using oils, it’s a different texture and it takes so much longer to dry yet I love the smoothness of the oil when applying it to the canvas. I’ll come back to this one in the morning but the plan is to paint more in oils as well as acrylics! 🙂🙏

I’m really happy about this one! Initially this painting was ‘all about the roses’ and I even chose that name for it….no matter how many times I painted roses in, it wasn’t sitting right with me so I ditched the roses and went for the simplicity of daisies! 😀 so the name just stuck 🙂

I finished this piece by pouring epoxy resin over it. It took over 48hrs to dry in a warm temperature, usually resin will take up to 75hrs to harden fully. I felt a clear glossy finish suited the nature of this artwork.
