We’re closing out this year’s Block Party Series this Saturday, September 5th — but we’re moving the whole thing inside.

Even though it’s only light showers forecast, with both venue and performers’ gear involved we can’t take the risk, so Block Party is taking over the main venue at Bank Lane for the night.

This Saturday we welcome one of Ireland’s best-kept secrets to Bank Lane.

Dublin five-piece The Deadlians have built a cult following around their wild mix of Irish folk, punk rock and psychedelic detours — traditional roots with a much darker edge.

Fronted by singer, balladeer, songwriter, poet and storyteller Sean Fitzgerald, expect thumping drums, humming synths, guitars, big melodies and plenty of chaos thrown into the mix.

If you haven’t caught The Deadlians live before, this is your chance.

What a performance from Ukulele Death Squad last night!

Genuinely one of the best live acts we’ve had. If you were lucky enough to be there, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about. And anyone who wandered down not quite knowing what to expect certainly left very happy.

A massive thank you to the band—an incredibly talented bunch of musicians who delivered an evening of pure entertainment from beginning to end.

Anyone lucky enough to have a ticket for their sold-out show in DeBarras tonight is in for a very big treat! 🔥

Wishing the band the best of luck with the rest of their European tour.
