One with Joe Rocks () in Stevie Scullion’s () studio last summer. We had jammed this out the day previous, and decided to do a live take into a single condenser mic, a little momento from our trip up north.

Last summer we spent a long weekend in Northern Ireland, particularly around Ballymena and the surrounding towns and villages, as part of the Shared Island intiative, with Waterford being twinned with the Mid and East Antrim Borough.

We stopped off at Stevie Scullion's (Malojian) recording studio to meet Stevie and do a few live recordings. Ooh La La was a song we had jammed with Joe Rocks the previous day and decided to jam it out again beside a condenser mic in the studio.

Das Wochenende wird musikalisch & richtig irisch! 🇮🇪 Bana Rua, die Folk-Rock-Band aus unserer Partnerstadt Waterford City and County Council in Irland, ist im MK & spielt gleich zwei Mal live. 🍀

▶️ Samstag, 30. August, kleine „PleWo“ in Plettenberg: Benefizkonzert unter dem Stephansdachstuhl. Auch die Band „Servants Quarters“ ist dabei.
▶️ Sonntag, 31. August, Schloss Neuenhof in Lüdenscheid: Eintritt frei von 15 bis 18 Uhr. 👉 Spenden sind willkommen für das Projekt Meta-Zeit an der Pestalozzi-Grundschule.

We discovered some fantastic original music while in Ballymena and the surrounding area a few weeks ago and was kind enough to gift us records from and . Been listening to these front-to-back lately, along with ‘s albums available on Band Camp. So much talent and such quality material coming out of that little corner of the world. Hats off to the lads.

We had a great trip around Northern Ireland last weekend with and . We sang sea shanties in with ; met the violin maker Johnny Murphy and learned a bit about his craft, recorded a couple of tracks in a studio run by (and discovered his original music), had a writing session with too many talented local musicians to list here and finished up with a session in . Still trying to come to terms with how class it was, rattled by the buzz of it all. Anyone got a number for a therapist?
