🎶 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT — VEALER 🎶

Crossed Wires is delighted to welcome Vealer to RECONNECT! 💫

With years spent behind the decks and residencies around the world, Vealer has developed a broad and ever-evolving appreciation for electronic music. While his musical tastes take in a wide range of sounds, deep house is where he feels most at home — expect a considered, groove-led set with plenty of warmth and depth.

As a producer and DJ, Vealer moves comfortably between analogue and digital approaches. He’s also the driving force behind Curate, an event series that shines a light on artists who are passionate about what they do and committed to the communities around them. That sense of connection feels particularly fitting for RECONNECT.

We’re delighted to have him join us for this special fundraiser for Waterford sound engineer Jim McCabe, who lost his professional sound and lighting equipment in the Jute Factory fire earlier this year.

With the lineup now complete, we’ve got two live acts and two DJs coming together at Geoff’s for an evening of great electronic music, good company and community support. ❤️

All artists are donating their fees, and entry is free — so come enjoy the music and, if you can, help reconnect Jim with the tools of his trade.

🎶 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT — GAVIN BOYCE (LIVE) 🎶
After a stellar performance at the Crossed Wires Festival in February 2026, Gavin returns with his live set for RECONNECT!⚡

A leading figure in the Waterford electronic scene, Gavin has been DJing since the 90s and producing his own music for most of that period. His discography features releases on Nordic Trax, Balance Alliance and Miso Records, and includes his 2021 album 'Anywhere Here'. His tracks have also featured on compilations by Ministry of Sound and House of OM.

Gavin's live show brings those years of experience together in a unique format — warm synths, beautiful bass, infectious beats — written for deep immersive listening and moving. 🎶

We’re very excited to add another local artist to the bill for RECONNECT, a special fundraiser for Waterford sound engineer Jim McCabe, who lost his professional sound and lighting equipment in the Jute Factory fire earlier this year.

All artists are donating their fees, and entry is free — so come enjoy the music and help us reconnect Jim with the tools of his trade. ❤️

🎶 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT — DARIA 🎶
Crossed Wires is delighted to welcome Daria for the first time! 💫

Waterford’s calibre as a DJ hotspot has been there for decades, and Daria is continuing that tradition. A vinyl DJ with a love for soulful sounds and deep digging, Daria blends disco, boogie, Brazilian rhythms, house and soulful garage into warm, groove-led sets built around connection and the dancefloor.

After years of collecting records, she’s been playing regularly in Waterford and around Ireland, with appearances at Electric Picnic and Bernard Shaw, Dublin. Her approach is all about creating joyful, welcoming spaces where great music brings people together. 🪩

We’re excited to have her with us for RECONNECT, a fundraiser for Waterford sound engineer Jim McCabe, who lost his professional sound and lighting equipment in the Jute Factory fire earlier this year.

All artists are donating their fees, and entry is free — so come enjoy the music and, if you can, help Jim rebuild his kit. ❤️

🎶 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT — PETER VOGELAAR (LIVE) 🎶
Waterford native Peter Vogelaar returns to Geoff’s on September 19th following an incredible show there in February. ⚡

It’s been a huge year for Peter, with a sold-out Backstage Royal show in July, a commissioned weekend of electronica at Triskel Arts Centre, Cork and a 2026 Juno top-selling vinyl release. Upcoming gigs include performances at Another Love Story and Cork Jazz Festival.

Now he’s back with lots of new material, alongside Conor Walsh on drums & guitar for his two-man live show.
Expect forward-thinking electronica and deep grooves from one of Waterford’s leading electronic artists. 🔊
..But this night is about more than the music!

RECONNECT is a fundraiser event for Waterford sound engineer Jim McCabe, who lost virtually all of his professional sound and lighting equipment in the devastating Jute Factory fire earlier this year.

Jim has spent more than 20 years helping local artists, bands, venues and promoters bring their events to life. Now, it’s time for the local music community to give something back.

Eeach preforming artist is donating their fee. Entry is free on the night so come along, enjoy the music and (if you can) make a donation towards helping Jim rebuild the tools of his trade.

Crossed Wires presents RECONNECT

On Saturday, September 19th, Crossed Wires returns to Geoff's Bar & Café for a very special edition. Following a fantastic event earlier this year, we're back with another evening of live electronic music—but this time with an important purpose.

Reconnect is a fundraiser in support of Jim McCabe, one of Waterford's most respected sound engineers and sound hire providers, who lost virtually all his equipment in the devastating Dute Factory fire in May 2026.

Help us spread the word and stay tuned for info on the line-up and how to support Jim.

Festival Finale at Bank Lane ✨

An outstanding way to close Crossed Wires ’26.

Between Ourselves opened the night with their first ever DJ set of entirely their own productions — cool, understated and beautifully paced. A reminder of just how talented (and under-appreciated) this duo are at crafting tracks and setting a mood.

Bantum followed with his Waterford debut, and what a treat it was. Live beats and melodies woven together with effortless, on-the-fly wizardry on his setup. Hypnotic, musical and completely absorbing throughout — no surprise given the recognition his productions have earned in recent years.

And then came one of those moments.

As Abbacaxi was testing his setup, he instinctively began singing over Between Ourselves’ final track. The fader went up, the room was wondering what was going on, and suddenly something truly special was happening. A beautiful, unplanned moment of musical connection.

Abbacaxi went on to deliver a stunning set — soulful, hypnotic, Kerri Chandler vibes, live looping on percussion, guitar, bass and vocals, with the whole room completely locked in from start to finish. Incredible!

Huge thanks to Dean and all the crew at , and to Matthew Reilly () for capturing it so perfectly 📸

Seven events.
One unforgettable finish.
So proud of how this festival ended.
See you all at the next one ❤️🙌

Filters & Frequencies — Crossed Wires ’26 ☕🎶

On Sunday afternoon we ran our first Filters & Frequencies at Trade Coffee, and it couldn’t have gone better.

Trade proved to be the perfect setting — a relaxed, welcoming space where live electronic music merged with good coffee and easy conversation. Friends, music lovers, and curious passers-by dropped in, stayed a while, and helped create such a warm atmosphere.

We were treated to three brilliant live performances — some stepping into a live setting for the very first time:

🔹 Finatn Kavanagh — glitchy, synth-led house
🔹 Eamon O’Malley — beautiful, piano-led soundscapes
🔹 Danny Carroll — lo-fi chill with live bass guitar to close things out

Two hours of music, chats, connection and beautiful brews — exactly what this event was about.

Huge thanks to Seamie and all the crew at Trade. They couldn't have been any more supportive and friendly if they tried. ❤️

We hope to do it again sometime.
Producers and musicians — go get your live on. 🙌

Day Two of Crossed Wires ’26 — and what a journey it was ✨

From deep connection and shared movement, to total immersion in sound, to a packed-out January night that felt like summer — Day Two gave us everything.

We began with Conscious Dance led by Martina Acosta & Declan Burke — three hours of movement, openness and connection. Such a warm, welcoming group, and you could feel it afterwards… everyone buzzing, grounded and lifted all at once 💛

Next came Blackout Beats at the Medieval Museum, presented with Waterford Treasures — a truly transportive shared experience. Sitting together in complete darkness, listening to the music of Nils Frahm and Jon Hopkins, created something rare: stillness, togetherness and deep listening. Powerful and beautiful in equal measure 🖤

And then… we danced.

A massive turnout at Geoff’s for Peter Vogelaar, Anadem & R.E.E.V., where the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Against all odds, a January night felt like a summer evening — such was the energy in the room. Incredible music, smiling faces, and a dancefloor fully locked in from start to finish 🔥

Huge thanks to , , and for hosting these moments and helping make the day so special.

And, as always, massive thanks to Matthew Reilly () for capturing the spirit, atmosphere and connection of the day so beautifully 📸

Two days down.
So much shared.
And now, let’s finish it off in style. 🙌
