Set in 1970s Mayo, this deeply moving production tells the story of the Stagg family and the extraordinary events surrounding the three funerals of Frank Stagg. Blending real history with raw human emotion, it shines a light on love, loss, resilience, and a family’s determination to have their story heard.

Developed with the blessing and factual input of the Stagg family, WE HAVE HIM BACK! tells the story of a mother watching her son die, a wife confronting official falsehoods, a sister struggling to understand, and a brother whose love and resolve would not allow history to be buried in silence. Weaving documented conversations, world and national news, music, and life in 1970s rural Ireland, grounding the personal tragedy into a wider historical moment.
