A big Shout Out to the Cois Srutháin Community for Fantastic Help! My car ran out of charge right in the MIDDLE of Ballyboughal Bridge recently at 8.00 am. Travelling non stop from Enniskillen I thought I'd make it home for our Hedgerow Forest Camp in the Nature Reserve! A Big Thanks to Liam who directed the 3 axle trucks, cars and buses, to the man on the balcony offering help and especially to the kind lad bringing me a delicious coffee from Giddy Up.

We are so sorry about the fire at Dockrells. John has been a great help to us since 1998 when the Hedgerow Society began, supporting our Hedgelaying 🌳 Workshops financially, encouraging us and giving work to the Hedgelayers especially the Birtwistles. Our community in Ballyboughal and Lusk is like a tree in shock- from the strongest branch to the tiniest microscopic root and filament. We are all rooting for you.

A young heron found near Wimbledon/ Roscall has possibly oil on feathers so can’t fly. Could everyone look out for possible oil spillage in local rivers and streams in Broomfield/ Mainscourt Wimbleton areas.

Ballyboughal Graveyard could become a Haven for Biodiversity if we follow Pope Francis initiative which began in Clare 2023

Church grounds and graveyards across Ireland are becoming havens for birds, bees and bats as part of a biodiversity project inspired by Pope Francis.
