The Informer established O’Flaherty as an important modern writer and John Ford as a director of serious artistic ambition winning four out of a nominated six Academy Awards.

Set during the Irish Civil War, the film centres on Gypo Nolan (Victor McLaglen), a destitute former IRA member who betrays his friend for a reward, only to be consumed by guilt and paranoia.

Followed by a discussion on the relationship between John Ford and Liam O'Flaherty.
~
Baineann an scannán le tréimhse an Chogadh Cathartha in Éirinn. Tá sé dírithe ar Gypo Nolan (Victor McLaglen), iar-bhall den IRA atá beo bocht agus a bhraitheann a chara ar mhaithe le luach saothair. Agus sin déanta aige, tá sé ciaptha ag an gciontacht agus ag an amhras.

Plé taréis an scannáin faoin ngaol a bhí idir Ford agus Liam Ó Flaithearta
