Introducing Banríon,

Banríon is an indie-rock and folk artist based between London &
Dublin. Originally formed as an indie-rock band in 2020, banríon was made up of different rotations of friends within the magnetic Dublin diy music scene, before recently evolving into the solo project of songwriter Ní Haicéid.

Since this shift, banríon has expanded from the 'blazing indie rock' sound as described by Hot Press, turning a gentler sonic cheek, shaped In part by songwriting lessons with Adrianne Lenker and Florist.

At Wipeout, she will perform an intimate acoustic solo set, playing songs from her upcoming album.

Elaine Malone is a psych-rock artist & multi-instrumentalist blending elements of shoegaze, folk, and experimental soundscapes. Her critically acclaimed debut album Pyrrhic (Pizza Pizza Records, 2023) showcases her evocative lyricism and dynamic compositions. She is a member of motorik group pôt-pot, with their debut album Warsaw 480km, released on Felte Records being nominated for the RTÉ Choice Music Award and named on BBC Radio 6’s albums of the year. A key figure in Ireland’s DIY music scene for many years, she has performed with Lisa O’Neill, Lankum, Protomartyr and The Mary Wallopers, gracing stages like London’s Roundhouse and Vicar St. Alongside her self-titled work, she releases under the moniker Mantua, is a member of improvisational trio Géis alongside Méabh McKenna & Ellie Myler, and a member of Katie Kim’s live band. Introducing Ronan Group

Ronan Group is a 4 piece band based out of Dublin trading in wistful jangles, smart hooks and irreverent lyricism founded by
singer/songwriter Ronan Boland. Rather importantly, it bears no legal resemblance to the privately owned real estate investor,
developer and asset manager of the same name.

The group was constructed from the rubble of Angular Hank, a much-loved project sadly dismantled by covid. In the proceeding time, Ronan Boland began running The Record Spot; a vital music hub in Dublin, Ireland that possesses a vast collection of 2nd hand vinyl for sale. Cataloguing these many thousands of records a month saw our protagonist fully immersed in nearly every era of recorded music, honing experiential ear that enhanced his songwriting craft as a result.

Growing up in Inchicore on the fringes of the Irish capital’s Dublin 7 district, Ronan self taught himself to play guitar while his friends were out of reach and mother was away. This hobby soon became an obsessive tic, swiftly upgrading his status from bedroom cover act to burgeoning songwriter in a matter of years. Inspired by the cathartic process of using songs as healing nodes towards self-actualisation and exploration of one’s well being further clarified Ronan’s vision. Using the devastatingly simple combo of lyrics and music to draft up blueprints of existence was the most important and satisfying element of this whole process of song craft for him, and thus his one way admittance to ‘lifer’ status in music was confirmed.

Ronan Group’s sound sits comfortably within many faculties; styles like midwest emo, 90's alternative rock and the lo-fi sounds of yesteryear’s DIY groups come to mind while a general arena of ' record-collector rock’ also rings true. Basically, his band’s music is steeped in recorded music tradition while firmly forward facing in production and songwriting prowess. His fast-paced lyrics recount daily musings of life, love and curmudgeonly encounters with the everyday kind, while contoured chords, sharp drums and skirted basslines round out its matured and fully fledged sound. There are no loose ends to

Ronan’s music, every element is packed with intent and passion.
His band’s forthcoming album I Don't Want To Go Anywhere out in Autumn/Winter of this year, and marks an important next chapter for Ronan and his group. Coming in at 8 tracks, it marks a maturation of the core origins of its founder, thrusting him into the recorded realm of music making with remarkable results.

We can’t wait to welcome them to Strandhill in 9 days time!

Introducing Fizzy Orange

Fizzy Orange (IE) are a six-piece alt rock band crafting a distinctly
Irish strain of power pop that’s made them firm favourites within
Dublin’s DIY scene. Kevin Keeley, Jack Martin, Cian Byrne and Rioghan Mc Carthy have been playing together since their school years, all sharing a love for analogue recording and the ‘brown sound’ of Ween, with Eoin Dillon and Maxime Arnold joining just before the release of their first EP In Mono (2024).

Fizzy Orange’s sound is a jangly synthesis of lo-fi power pop and
blues-leaning Irish rock traditions. FO have remained true to their
humble beginnings, preferring to record at home to cassette or within close proximity of a pub, wherever that may be. Live, the band lean into a rougher garage rock energy, often playing long sets built around a large catalogue of unreleased songs

FO have headlined a number of sold-out dates across Ireland and the UK,
and are now holed up in an old abbatoir turned studio on Dublin’s
northside, recording their debut album, due in 2026.
