Hidden Hearth is an intimate festival of community, connection, creativity, celebration and empowerment. We will honour the end of the outward half of the year, reflect on the bounty we have experienced throughout the brighter months, and let go as we prepare to turn inward for the darker winter months.

We are putting together a very special line-up of artists and facilitators for this gathering on the cusp of Samhain.

Hidden Hearth is held and hosted by a community of talented humans who offer up their time to many independent festivals throughout the year.
This year-round nomadic tribe creates a momentum and skill-sharing energy that moves mountains wherever they go.
Ireland is blessed to have such a connected, masterful and unique group of humans who come together to create unique events, each with their own flavor and energy, culminating in our gentle festival in October.

Hidden Hearth is one of Ireland’s rare and special sober spaces.

What does that mean?

Sobriety is defined as a state of non-intoxication, embodied in yourself entirely, unaffected by alcohol or substances. In Ireland, almost every social situation has alcohol present in some form, and Irelands relationship to substances is a constantly evolving.
What does this do to the nature of our gatherings? What long-term effect does this have on our relationship with ourselves and our community, both positive and negative?

We do not believe that everyone must be sober all the time. However, the container of a sober festival is a social experiment we all collectively enter for a weekend. It is a rare opportunity to dance to music with 100s of other sober people, or to attend a talk or a workshop entirely in your own self. It can be something you try just this once, or part a journey you are already on yourself!

Hidden Hearth invites us to share our energy and curiosity in this unique weekend of magic, to discover and confront and unlock different levels of connection and knowledge of ourselves.
We know it will be a magical experience for everyone attending and can’t wait to share it with you all.

What does Hidden Hearth embody?

Returning in 2026 has been an eye-opening experience, as messages of excitement started to pour in, and people showed us what Hidden Hearth meant to them.
We knew the energy created here was important, and as we spoke with returning artists, volunteer applicants and crew members, we have gained a deeper understanding of the meaning and message of Hidden Hearth.

A closing to the festival season: while Hidden Hearth is not the end of Ireland’s festival season, the message is one of slowing, grounding and resting. A cold weather festival, where bodies are wrapped in layers and scarves and coats… a sober space where connection is authentic and honest and raw… a place for deep healing, guided by a world of modalities, spiritual paths and practices.

A place to question what it is that makes us human, what brings us to gather, why we share space and energy and time in festival settings. A new way to experience collective energy in Ireland, far from alcohol and substances. A place for the whole family to play, bond and experience. A land-based gathering of souls, shaking off anything that no longer serves us in a supportive, curious community.

These spaces hold us for three short days, vessels for shared learning and transcending.

Fire, movement, connection and a shared vision…

We are so looking forward to letting Hidden Hearth unfold at Lisnavagh House again in 2026. This community of creatives, artists and space holders creates a magnificent celebration at the cusp of winter and autumn when they gather, honouring the change of the season.
As we approach the peak of summer, the solstice, we are planning and building and dreaming…
We look forward to sharing the magic again!
