The Rathcoole Christmas Fair was established 18 years ago by the Rathcoole Christmas Lights Committee to help raise funds to light up the village of Rathcoole at Christmas time to bring about a cheerful, positive community spirit. At the same time presenting an opportunity for local Arts & Crafts people to showcase their handcrafted products. We also aim to introduce the younger people in our comm
unity to Arts & Crafts. We do this by running Christmas Arts & Crafts Workshops. The workshop provides an opportunity for each child to try out new techniques, develop their art skills and build their confidence all at the same time. The workshop is for school-going children of all ages and abilities. Each child gets to complete a special piece to take home to be treasured by parents & grandparents for many years. This event has proven hugely popular with the youngsters over the years. In addition, we have lots of Christmas-themed activities for the kiddies such as face-painting, writing letters to Santa with the elves and of course the option to visit the beloved Mrs Clause ;)
