🌟 Artist Spotlight: Aidan! 🌟

We’ve missed our community features, so we’re thrilled to reintroduce Aidan, one of the founding spirits of An Scriobláil. Aidan embodies everything we love about this group: dedication, warmth, growth, and genuine creativity.

Farmer by day, metalworker by night, Aidan brings a unique rhythm to his craft. With hands used to tending the land, he treats steel with a rare patience—hammering and heating it until the metal and the maker reach a beautiful harmony. 🔨🌾

He opened up about his journey, admitting he believed his art had to have a function. But once he embraced creating purely for joy, magic happened. His recent tribute to Bruce Springsteen? An absolute showstopper! 🎶✨

Aidan’s wisdom for new creators? “Just start!” Grab a stick welder, an angle grinder, and a solid hammer, and dive in.

We are looking for artists to join us for another inspiring exhibit on Saturday 27th June, 7:30pm in Ma’s Kitchen, Rathangan📣

DETAILS BELOW ⬇️

- The deadline for submitting applications is Monday 15/06. No application will be considered after that date.
- Each applicant will be notified by Saturday 20/06.
- Space is limited, so a selection will be made based on the submitted artworks and the overall balance of the exhibition.
- Artists may submit up to 3 works.
- A 20€ fee will apply only to selected artists and will contribute towards organisational costs.
- Artists will keep 100% of their sales.
- Selected participants are expected to attend the organisational meeting, assist with setup and be present for the duration of the opening night.
- Artists are responsible for the delivery and collection of their own works on the agreed dates.

We’re so excited to be part of this magical walk on May 3—exhibiting our artwork, getting creative with the community, and sharing the music of our local buskers.

🌸 Did you know? Bluebells are an indicator species for ancient, undisturbed woodlands—when you see a carpet of them, you’re walking through a habitat that’s been thriving for centuries.
