In a week from today as part of June Fest Newbridge 2019, we’ll be getting ready to open the doors of Newbridge Town Hall for an evening with Andy Irvine & Donal Lunny (June Fest). It’s been an incredible opportunity to bring these giants of the music world to play this unique show. I’ve heard stories my whole life about the gigs that went on there in 60s, 70s and 80s including the early days of Planxty, Skid Row and even Thin Lizzy to name but a few.
There has been a huge amount of work put into this years festival by a very small team and we can’t wait to re establish the town hall as the historical music venue it once was.
Tickets are €20 and on sale from the Riverbank Arts Centre or online at http://bit.ly/2ON5OMg. These gigs rely on the support from the local community. Please purchase tickets in advance and share among friends and family. We’ve a big hall to fill and I look forward to seeing as many familiar faces there as possible.

Very excited to announce that Broken Home has been working closely with June Fest Newbridge the last couple of months on a number of events. It has created an opportunity for us to engage with the wider community and bring the best in Irish music right to our doorstep. Growing up in Newbridge there has always been a great sense of passion for music, be it playing or listening, and like anything worth its weight in salt, it needs to be supported and cherished. A shed load of work has gone in to this festival and it deserves all the love and support from everyone in the town. There is over 50 events happening throughout the month of June, some will cost a few pound and some will be free.
The festival launch is on this evening at 7.30pm in Whitewater Shopping Centre and the June Fest booklets will be arriving through every letterbox in town. We will be highlighting some of our events over the next few days, stay tuned for updates ☺️🎉
Thank you Jeffrey Lewis Badhands Ora Cogan for such an amazing show! To everyone who came down, bought tickets, merch and supported these incredible musicians we are forever in your debt. Delighted to see the launch of a new musical venture in Newbridge. I've been lucky to get a glimpse behind the scenes and there's some incredible events planned. Serious work has gone into this operation and deserves every bit of support from the community, no reason why Newbridge can't have it's own Whelans or Roisin Dubh! Like/share and get involved! Will be announcing our first collaboration with Upstairs at JRB's very soon! 🤩

Jeffrey Lewis (SOLO)
Live in BRÚ House, Newbridge
Bank Holiday Monday 7th May

I am so happy to announce that a musical hero of mine Jeffrey Lewis will be making his way to Newbridge on May 7th. I have been obsessed with his music ever since I acquired (stole) a copy of 'The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane' many years ago from a house party in Farrell's. This CD was eventually returned during the distraction of another house party but Jeffrey's songwriting and raw approach to his art has always stuck with me and continues to inspire today. This gig is a real dream come true and I want to share it with the whole town. We have made this as accessible as possible without the ticket restrictions of a house show. Tickets are a mere €12 online for what will be one of the greatest shows Newbridge has ever seen! Please share this with your friends and family and lets make this a night we can tell the grandkids about. Hon Newbridge!
