Contact - [email protected] It’s been a remarkable 18 months for independent band, Brave Giant.

Mark Prunty (guitar/vox), Podge Gill (guitar/vox), Ross McNerney (banjo/mandolin), Emmett Collum (drums) are the Longford men who together are Brave Giant. Their single, The Time I Met the Devil (featuring Irish actor and comedian, Joe Rooney) has enjoyed over 60,000 views in less than twelve weeks adding to their impressive overall tally of 500,000 online video views. Since June 2016 Brave Giant has had five consecutive sell-out headline shows in Dublin, including two sold-out shows at Whelan’s (main room) this spring. The band also joined they joined Gavin James and Roisin O as the musical ambassadors of the Bord na Móna ‘HearthSessions’ in winter 2016. Thus far in 2017, the boys have performed on RTE’s flagship The Late Late Show, supported Picture This during their five-night sell out run at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre and most recently were delighted to play the Heineken stage at Longitude 2017. Ahead of traveling to Electric Picnic in September, Brave Giant travel to the USA for shows at Milwaukee Irish Festival and in New York.

a good evening to everyone, where ever you may be.

Thank you sincerely, for all your kind messages and comments over the last few days and weeks as we have re-entered the world.

Firstly, we just want to express how excited we are to be returning to the stage in August.

Brave Giant’s final performance was in our hometown at the Marquee in Drumlish in 2022, it feels very special to be returning here once again to restart our journey. It holds very special memories for this band and we genuinely cannot wait to perform for you all there on August 14th.

Secondly and probably more importantly, the lineup of Brave Giant will be slightly different as we return to the stage.

Ross, who is now taking over the world with the rest of the wonderful men in Amble, unfortunately won’t be joining us, nor will Emmett, who is hard at work with his own solo project.

Both of these men were and always will be a huge part of Brave Giant and of course, it would be so great to have them by our sides, and we’ll always hold them and the memories shared with them dearly for the remainder of our days, but alas, we must move forward without them and we wish nothing but the best for them as they navigate through life after their beginnings with Brave Giant.

However time waits for no man, and Podge and Mark will return for the new beginning of Brave Giant, with some wonderful musicians by our side and we cannot wait to introduce you to them all soon on August 14th.

There have been many days over the past few years where this seemed like it would never happen again, or that we’d have this opportunity to return, so to be able to come back and sing to fans new and old is something we don’t take for granted and we promise that a special night is close at hand.

All in all, it’s the same old Brave Giant, just slightly different.
