🎉 We're delighted to announce that Minister Patrick O’Donovan TD has awarded €25,000 in funding to Listowel Writers’ Week!

Minister O’Donovan joined us today at St John’s Theatre and praised the festival for “bringing people together to enjoy the written word in all its forms.”

👏 Chairman Ned O’Sullivan extended his thanks: “We’re truly grateful for the Minister’s ongoing support. This funding helps us continue delivering a world-class literary celebration here in Listowel.”

We wish to inform you of an important update to the schedule for this year’s festival.

Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Mr. Patrick O'Donovan T.D., who was originally due to attend and speak at our Opening Night, will now instead be joining us on Friday, 4pm, at St John’s Theatre & Arts Centre. He will be making a very special announcement that you wont want to miss!

We are delighted to still be welcoming the Minister to Listowel, and we encourage you to join us for what promises to be a valuable and engaging discussion as part of our Friday programme.
