For the past 12 years(9 years with funding support) we have created this space for thousands of individuals Locally, Nationally and Internationally to authentically showcase Hip-hop & Street Dance Culture as we didn’t see this spaces anymore in our communities and we know how transformative this spaces where to those that not only attend but participated.. its simply beyond words! We did it for passion not for money or recognition! we still do.

Professionally there wasn’t much recognition outside the commercial spaces, there was and still is misrepresentation, from organisations, schools and individuals. Which we can only hope we have somewhat influenced, but we are committed to shaping this narrative in our little but influential Ireland at the edge of Europe.

We leave knowing we have achieved our aim - We created a space we would like to see (Be the change you wanna see)! Simple!

It started on voluntary basis with Tobi Omoteso & Sam (Samroc). Then reform with deborahoconnor866 ever since with 2 Djs - Bog Bogumil and Adil KhanFu and host Mister KYB 🇿🇼🇮🇪, before the amazing team later joined Karen Aguiar | Go Dance for Change 85dB Iam Leslie and Isac Kossivi . The allocated funding we have got has never been enough to cover our fees fully while covering the ever rising costs of doing events in Dublin or in general but we all still do this cos again want to see such spaces in “our” world 🌍

Now we hope the authentic representation continues with showyourflow_jam as a future festival to keep the culture alive outside the commercial spaces in Dublin ( They will need support, funding and venue especially. So please do let us know if you have any leads)

In Hip-Hop Culture: An MC is the vocal artist who rhymes rhythmically over the DJ’s beats. In this context, the acronym was famously adapted to mean Mic Controller or Move the Crowd. A true MC doesn’t just rap; they engage directly with the audience, direct the energy of the room, and often freestyle (improvise) to keep a battle or a cypher flowing.

We see you tonight: 8pm Dance Limerick for session 1.

One final addition to tonight is a stance and pledge to stand again prejudice and discrimination, by remembering our past so we don’t repeat it! We have carefully crafted “more dogs, more black, more irish” with the help of the talented Aidean Byrne and Limerick Printmakers for making the screen for the print. T-shirt is on a first come first serve basis, but we will have this in all of our future event going forwards.This will be the message we want to put out in our word but most importantly for us as humans to remember deep within our HeARTS 💚.

PRE-TEXT: The phrase “No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs” describes discriminatory signs and rules that reportedly appeared in windows and doors of boarding houses, pubs, and hotels in post-World War II Britain during the 1950s and 1960s.

Context: Co Founder Tobi Omoteso and Creative Manager Isac Kossivi were both attacked with discriminatory intent 5 months ago when going to set up for our annual festival in Limerick City on a Saturday morning which resulted in life altering injuries both physically and psychologically.

Note: The first line of law enforcement action if you have suffered from similar circumstances is to reference “ Criminal Justice Hate Offences Act 2024”.
